What I do (when I’m not reading)
I write fiction for young adults, teach creative writing at RMIT, and visit schools to talk about books and writing. I love running workshops, and I’m particularly excited about my new online sessions. So, if you’re a teacher with writers who would benefit, please contact me.
Along with Alison Arnold I run Word House—we specialise in Writing and Wellness Retreats. Ali and I feel very strongly about the need for writers to protect their creativity. Here we are being INTERVIEWED by Karen Willis of Sharing Bali and Beyond.
And lastly, I offer a Manuscript Assessment and Mentoring Service. Writers I work with say I’m generous and word obsessed. I say that’s a pretty accurate description of me. I’m also thorough, detailed and specific with feedback and suggestions.
Fiction
One of the loveliest, most exquisitely beautiful books I’ve read in a very long time. . . . I didn’t just read the pages, I lived in them. (Words in Deep Blue)
For Schools and Festivals
Cath was excellent. A very thoughtful, honest and generous talk.
For Writers
Exercises were great. Content super helpful and relevant. Really excellent course. Has sparked my inspiration again.
